Ovalisa Table
Designed by Alex March
The sleek, fluid form of the Ovalisa table reinterprets the perfect catenary curve, a shape used repeatedly in architectural history and based on the inverted arch created by hanging chains suspended between two points. In Ovalisa, the soft, asymmetrical catenary lines create a surprising visual effect and serve as the table’s legs, adding architectural character to the piece.
These curves take on a new dimension, entirely different from the way, for example, Gaudí used them in his work. Its metallic surfaces reflect golden, silver, or copper tones that interact beautifully with light, offering a polished finish and a pleasant touch that enhance its uniquely charming aesthetic.
